After some scrambling to take care of cast availability issues – including some re-casting – I can say that my pal/director/dramaturge Kerri MacDonald and I have organized a workshop and reading of my play Over the Lips. This is a long one-act play – and some of you may have seen the brunch scene before, as The Girls Do Brunch, in New Ideas a few years ago. And yeah, we thought long and hard about the title – at first, not wanting to lose the original, but the new one seems to be a better fit.
When: Sunday, August 29 @ 7 p.m. (Please be on time, as we may be locking the doors)
Where: Alumnae Theatre Studio (70 Berkeley Street – at the corner of Berkeley and Adelaide) – please use the box office doors on Berkeley; for a map, please see this link: http://www.alumnaetheatre.com/tickets.html
There will be a talk-back after the reading. Admission is free – and we are accepting donations for Alumnae Theatre.
Our cast features (in order of appearance): Adrian Rebacus, Katherine Grainger, Martha Spence, Michael Harvey and Ashima Suri
