Membership has its privileges.
One of the perks of Alumnae membership is sneak peeks of our upcoming shows; these happen during the membership meeting that comes shortly before opening night. So last night we were treated to the lovely opening monologue of You Are Here, courtesy of our equally lovely and talented lead gal Tabitha Keast, who was barefoot on the sand. That’s right. Sand. Well, not sand really – but finely ground cork. It’s way easier to deal with than actual sand, while providing the look and texture of sand.
The sand arrived on the weekend and the sandbox was filled. Apparently, Tabitha lost a pencil in there during the cue-to-cue on Sunday. She predicts that it will end up goosing her at some point when she sits in it. Always good to have something to look forward to.
You Are Here opens next Friday (Sept 24) on the main stage. Book tix now and book often: http://www.alumnaetheatre.com/tickets.html
