Realized I misspoke the painting day in my Hedda stumblethrough post – it was Monday night, not Sunday. Guess with all the activity this past weekend, I lost track of the days.
Ed, Margot and I were in again last night to clean and glaze the floor (coat #3), and finish the bars – and Rosemary (aka our intrepid piano artist), accompanied by her son Pressman, joined us to do another coat of glaze on the piano. Jury’s still out on whether we need a fourth coat on the floor and there’s still the stove to do at some point. So, basically, I’m on call now – and we only have two more nights available to do any final painting before opening.
Here are some more pix from the stumblethrough, courtesy of actor James Harbeck. Top to bottom: Sochi Fried (Hedda) and Leslie McBay (Thea), with fight coach Naomi Hunter, I believe; James Harbeck (Tesman), photo by Malcolm Taylor; Sochi Fried; and Leslie McBay.
