It’s a newly-minted festival of short plays by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered playwrights, which will take place in Alumnae Theatre’s 3rd floor Studio over two evenings, Friday September 28 & Saturday 29th. Four short plays (each 10-15 minutes) will be performed in the first half of each evening, and a one-act play will be read in the second half. Same lineup on both nights. More details to come! In the meantime, one of the short plays, a 10-minute comedy/drama play called “Intervention” is seeking two male actors (28-35) to portray gay characters. The ability to play comedy is essential. Rehearsals will be in Toronto in early September. There will be two performances – Friday, September 28th and Saturday, September 29 at 8 p.m. at Alumnae Theatre (70 Berkeley St., near Adelaide/Parliament).
