Amid all the recent posts about February, the call for New Ideas Festival scripts, and audition notice for The Drowning Girls, I realized that Alumnae’s full season had not yet been formally announced on this blog. So here it is.
Alumnae Theatre Company proudly announces its 2012/13 season – we have many milestones and anniversaries to celebrate, starting Sept 21, with the WORLD PREMIERE of Newfoundland writer Lisa Moore’s lovely time-shifting drama February, which she adapted from her acclaimed 2009 novel. This season also includes two other Canadian works – The Drowning Girls by Beth Graham, Charlie Tomlinson and Daniela Vlaskalic in November; and our Countdown to 100 play, James Reaney’s The Killdeer in April. In between, there’s a classic Oscar Wilde comedy, A Woman of No Importance (January), and the 25th annual (yes – 25, can you believe it!) New Ideas Festival in March.
Alumnae Theatre Company turns 95 years young in February 2013, and this is also our 40th season in this historic former firehall. It’s going to be a great year!
