“Canis Familiaris” in New Ideas Festival 2015 (Week Two)

The 27th annual New Ideas Festival runs March 11 – 29 in the Studio at Alumnae Theatre. Audiences will see 15 new short works, and they’re all world premieres by writers from Canada and the U.S.

The little pug in the photo is William, the subject of Canis Familiaris, a short play by Carolyn Bennett, which appears in Week Two (March 18 – 22) of New Ideas, directed by Brenda Darling. Actor Patricia Hawk plays William’s owner Christine in this dark comedy.
